The SHIFT Garage has offered “Program Vehicles” to our applicants for years. In this program we place donated vehicles with approved applicants for just the actual cost it takes to make that vehicle Safe, Legal and Reliable. In many cases an applicant receives a $3,500 vehicle for only $500! This is obviously a huge help and gets you into a nice vehicle for next to nothing.

These Program Vehicles are valued anywhere between $2,000 and $5,000. In the past, when we received a vehicle worth a retail price of over $5,000 it was a better decision to sell the vehicle to the general public and use the proceeds to fund our program.

We asked ourselves, what if we could still use the money from these higher-end donations but also use them to directly help those we serve?

Now, all running and driving vehicles that are donated to our program and can be made Safe, Legal and Reliable, will go directly to an individual or family in need! No longer will we sell these vehicles to the general public.

Instead, we have partnered with local financial institutions to offer these applicants reasonable interest rates.
